Book Your Freight Elevator Before You Book Your Mover
Arlington’s Rosslyn–Ballston corridor and Crystal City are packed with high-rise apartment and condo buildings where freight elevators must be reserved in advance — often 5–10 business days before your move. Secure your elevator window first, then book your move date. We’ll work around your building’s schedule.
Tip 02 · I-66 HOV Rules
Know Before Move Day
I-66 inside the Beltway has HOV-2 restrictions during weekday peak hours (6:30–9AM eastbound, 3–7PM westbound). Moving trucks don’t qualify for HOV, which means we route carefully to avoid fines and delays. If your move involves crossing I-66, we plan the timing around it.
Tip 03 · Parking Permits
Request a Moving Truck Zone in Advance
Arlington County allows residents to request temporary no-parking zones for moving trucks through Arlington County DPRCR. This is especially useful in dense areas like Clarendon, Courthouse, and Columbia Pike where street parking is competitive. Apply online at least 5 business days before your move.
